Max Taylor Surfboards ...Built For Aquatic Joy...
Max Taylor has been shaping and building custom surfboards for well over 35years now and is still as passionate and excited about it as the customers who pick up their new boards. The anticipation and expectation of a new surfboard's performance is what keeps the designing and shaping wheels in motion along with the constant research and development in the water. We call it office work, but what a great office to work in! Everyone has expectation about a new board – we like to fulfill those expectations with hi quality hand built aquatic machinery produced in Australia by surfers who love the creative challenge of putting great surfboards together using the world’s best materials. From retro single fins to the modern fish surfboards and even the super lightweight epoxy surfboards, we love making all types of boards just as much as you love riding them in the best waves and conditions. Machine Shapes and Are They For You? It’s true that many boards today are machine cut and finished by hand, it’s also true that there is an oversupply of very basic, simple, generic shapes (too basic in fact) on our market. These basic shapes may suit the beginner or surfers who want to save some bucks but pretty soon even the beginner will want more from their surfboard. We are proud to say that all our shapes have been tried, tested and tweaked before settling on the final cuts for our models, and that folks, is what makes a good shape stand out from the average one. Time spent testing is time at work... and someone has to do it, it's the only real way we get to understand what's happening under our feet and how we want a surfboard to perform. We love testing our equipment and we hope you'll love testing our equipment too, this is so when visitors like yourself come along to this site and see something they like they can feel confident to purchase knowing all the hard yards have been done in the lab before the model went into production. Surfboard Variety To Suit Everyone Max Taylor surfboards produce a variety of surfboard shapes and sizes from grom boards and performance shooters to retro single fins and fishes, midlengths, funboards, longboards, logs and tankers. We are constantly working with the latest design innovations and technologies to provide you with the best damn surfboards available. Go ahead and browse our pages to view what's available. If you have any suggestions on how we can provide a better board, service or surfing experience don't hold back OK, feel free to offer them to us. We'd love to hear from you. You can contact us here.
