Modern Late 60's Log with Style

Wild Pig Longboard
The Wild Pig was inspired from the original pig templates of the 60’s that allowed surfers of the time to surf from the tail with more aggression with the wide point being back behind halfway. As the trends in shaping developed and modern board shapes started to define what could actually be done on a wave the pig had its run just before the deep vee era came in but was still an incredibly versatile board for its time.
Today, this board is best suited to handle waves in the 1' - 3' range. The slick low volume rails help it to run and trim really well while the wide rear end will help you turn it really easy from back on the tail. This board has the slightest of concaves under the flat nose and will give you plenty of opportunity to nose ride comfortably while also being able to practice your cross stepping and style turns. Generally glassed a little bit heavier than normal (2x6 deck & 4+6 bottom) which generates a very solid and comfortable feeling in trim yet it will remain remarkably versatile. Often laminated with 6ounce Volan cloth, tints, swirls and opaque colors but very rarely clear. This board is 98% traditional and pure in form with just a couple of modern refinements. Comes with the very best hand crafted multi colored laminates,10" fin box and hi gloss polish finish. This is a board of exceptional hand crafted quality, built using the same traditional methods as those were in the 60's. This board is designed for the adventurous logger who dares to be different.
